Savigar Services has delivered Systems Thinking Training to large and small groups of staff at Cornwall Council and has learnt from being directly involved in service transformation at Bath & North East Somerset.
The methodology uses those experiences which include Vanguard System Thinking, PWC lean system thinking and experience within the local authority environment. It looks at the purpose of the task from the customers perspective and it acknowledges that cost is in the flow and not individual parts of a process.
Experience has come from projects such as Concessionary Travel; Missed Bins; Housing Benefit provision; Council Tax Valuation; The issue of 14 day letters. All have delivered improved customer service at reduced cost.
